Strategic Account Managers (w/m)


What you will do:

  • Act as a consultant to our customers and as a strategist within ANSYS
  • Understand customer environment, their business priorities and technical needs and build a solution vision, propose appropriate solution, gain the purchasing commitment
  • Meet new business, run rate and services quota goals for the assigned accounts
  • Formulate strategies for building and growing the accounts and maximize their potential value to ANSYS
  • Develop, maintain, and implement account plans that contain strategies and action plans for maximizing account revenues and enable customer success, productivity and innovation
  • Be the customer advocate inside ANSYS and ensure that the customer receives the appropriate amount of management attention and added value whenever possible
  • Position ANSYS for prime opportunities by preselling its capabilities and solutions and facilitate future business with the customer and seek out and help customer define new opportunities and ANSYS applications
  • Remain knowledgable and keep abreast of ANSYS new and existing products/services and alert customer to it

What you will need:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience as a Key Account Manager with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated understanding of PLM or engineering simulation space
  • Knowledge of ANSYS products/services would be a plus
  • Knowledge of specific industries and accounts is a plus
  • Position ANSYS for prime opportunities by preselling its capabilities and solutions and facilitate future business with the customer and seek out and help customer define new opportunities and ANSYS applications
  • Proficient in the following competencies: Building Trusting Relationsships, High Impact Communication, Expanding and Advancing Opportunities, Active Learning, Sales Approaches and Solutions
  • Fluency in German and English language
